Here’s the lean-to roof, permanent, with my very temporary ‘walls’ on the south and west sides, both open here because of the sun and ‘warm’ day. The palm is a Trachycarpus maritianus which is marginal here especially since it has not reached its mature trunk diameter. The Beech in the left foreground has been in a pot for 30 years, grown from seed, and is hardy here without protection, even in the pot, though in really cold stretches where highs remain below freezing I’ll wheel it over under a roof.
