These swales are at the low end of the Park. The turf drainage system is piped directly into these. These swales are unique in that the water is directed here but it cannot escape via percolation through the bottom. All of the swales have an impermeable pond liner beneath the soil, again to prevent percolation down to groundwater and movement of the contaminants.
