This little Agave parryi var. parry was gifted to me by a friend last summer, the hardiest form of the species grows northerly into Utah and the Colorado Plateau. This shot emphasizes its beautiful rosette and its strongly contrasting decurrent terminal spines, the darker tissue which runs downward along the margins.
