This decomposed granite spiral plaza sits amidst a large ‘meadow’ planting filled with a variety of bunching type grasses, Bouteloua gracilis ‘Blonde Ambition’ among them, a mix of perennials and bulbs like the old Onion inflorescences shown here. Meadow plantings are most visually effective when they have the chance to spread out, framed by the horizon or a clean border like the Ceanothus further to the right here.
