Podophyllum pleianthum. This planting, at Portland’s City Hall is accompanied by Hakonechloa macra ‘Aureola’, a hardy Fuchsia and Epimedium. All of the Podophylla erupt quickly in early Spring, launching themselves up with their leaves like collapsed umbrellas, all becoming quite large in contrast to many or most of their likely neighbors.
