My little stand of Phyllostachys aureosulcata ‘Spectabilis’. Typical of the other ‘crook-stem’ bamboos not all of the culms exhibit this characteristic bending at its nodes. Like all Phyllostachys these form two ‘branches’ at each node, which are often removed to better display the attractive culms.
