A print from the archives of The Columbian showing a car driving across the Columbia. It used to get very cold and stay that way. This combined with the absence of the dams changed flow rates and temperatures enough to allow freezing. It appears to be the railroad bridge in the background looking east with the Interstate in the distance beyond it.
