This is my Red Abyssinian Banana after its winter basement hiatus. The darker lower portion is last year’s growth. The new growth at the top of the frame is etiolated as it grew in storage in low light. All of the growth shown will continue to decline and will all be replaced this coming season. You can see how little root is present. All of this growth will be replaced.
