This stand of Scotch Thistle had a couple of its plants obviously sprayed by rangers, the rest, budded and ready to flower, the ideal stage of growth to spray many of the thistle species, appear very ready to soon toss their seed to the winds. I really don’t know what their spray program is here, but their task is daunting!
