Growing somewhat like a bush on a stick now, I’ll be pruning it over the next several years into more of a strong central leader form. Forcing it into that form early on means removing a lot of branches which slows overall growth, that’s why the selective strategy I’ve chosen. This summer has seen by far the most top growth with a few branches adding 2′.
