The dark green foliage below in this view toward the Columbia River, between Mosier and The Dalles, Oregon, above Rowena Plateau, is a grove of Oregon White Oak, Quercus garryana, that most people associate with the Willamette Valley, growing northward through the Puget Trough to the southern tip of Vancouver Island, BC and southward into northern California.
